Looks like I am a spitting image of Nelson Mandela...except for the whole not being black, South African, old, or a world political figure. I am part of the Libertarian Left. I would imagine many in hear oud be on teh authoritarian right. Especially 5-90!
Libertarian? Sure. Authoritarian? Certainly Not. While I will admit to an overall Draconian outlook, I spend quite a lot of time questioning authority.
I think the object of the penal institution should be reform and rehabilitiation - not strictly punishment. However, it's also important to remember that there are those who are wholly unrepentant, and I have no trouble with executions (I'm willing to throw the switch, if asked. Just prove to ME that this individual should die...)
The purpose of the government is to protect the body politic, not regulate it. An entire functional system of law should, if I were asked, fit into a single volume and be understandable by anyone with a standard high-school education. There should be more restrictions on the government than on the people at large - not the other way 'round (like it is to-day.)
One problem I had with that survey was there was no option for either "No Opinion," "None of the Above," or "Neutral." That forces skewed results right there, which destroys the overall accuracy of the survey and results.
I also hold a number of contradictory views - they're not unresolvable, just contradictory on their face - which also cannot be accurately reflected on a specious survey. In all honesty, I got through the second page before I realised that this was little more than a batch of Bogon emissions, and didn't bother to finish. Given that the facts have no bearing upon the outcome, I conclude that that survey was written either by a Democrat (a new Democrat, by which I essentially mean Socialist,) or a Federal Circuit Court justice. Take your pick.
