What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Finally got a trickle/tender and hooked it up to the xj. Hopefully, less bad batteries now.

You don't DD it to work with the doors off anymore?

Rewired the winch to an incab setup and started the removal of all the interior.

Indeed, and I bet that little one has grown a mite bit by now too.

:D

Finished my son's 96 Ford head jobs, 3.0 Vulcan V-6, and got the OBD-II locked in and ready for inspection next. He was slumming, driving a spare 80s Renix Jeep the last 6 weeks, LOL :laugh3:

Yep, Rice stadium lot. Police escorted to Children's Memorial Hermann.

I thought it looked familiar, I went there for a while in the 70's. My older brother got his PhD there. My kids and I were last there about 8 years ago, HS Track meets.

Its been an adventure with my auxiliary lights lately. The day i mock up the lightbar one of the driving lights goes out (just a bulb, replaced Saturday), then a couple days later the driving light (one that was still working) wouldn't come on at all, tapped it and it lit... must be a loose connection somewhere but they're working good now. And Saturday i installed the lightbar to find during wiring it the a-pillar lights aren't working. Haven't had time to diagnose it.

But anyway, the LED lightbar now rides proudly upon my front bumper. 13.5", 5,280 lumens, 72w, 24 LEDs of brightness!!! This little light excites me more than a lot of the mods i've spent more time and money on. And blows away my other lights. For the money i am very pleased.

One of the brackets i made.

Finally mounted and wired.

And no, my headlights and driving lights aren't that dim and yellow, the LED is just that bright it makes the camera dim.

Worked on the switch panel i'm making to go over the fake panel to the right of the cluster. Our step drill bit only goes up to 7/8" and i needed 15/16" holes so i had to get the files out to finish them up. Worked pretty good.

Also, i looked into the a-pillar lights not working and pretty quickly realized/remembered there is two fuses on this wiring. Sure enough the other was blown. Replaced and back to working like a charm.

Carved out the dash panel that the metal panel i made will go onto. Also, cleaned up the metal panel and coated it in primer. Still not sure how to secure the metal panel to the dash panel.
