Undercoating a new to you Jeep?

Another idea is Awlgrip 545 primer and then a good quality paint of your choice. 545 is designed as a primer for metal and fibreglass and can be used for under water applications. I've used it on metal with limited prep and it has held up very well.

I'll look into that Matt, thanks.

Jeep is tucked away in garage for winter.

I have used Naval Jelly with POR15 with good results on my bumper. Been holding up for 3 years now in all types of weather. Been in an accident with it with no affect on the paint. The only thing I did was rough up the steel to remove scale and for better adhesion.
