Trade 96 Silverado z71 ext cab for XJ

si. and two car payments are double diablo.:fuse:

Now i don't feel so bad about how many cars i have owned...
90 xj
89 xj
96 xj
01 xj
I Also had a mustang that had sat in the back yard forever and was rusted to hell so i called a junk car place to come pick it up and got 100 bucks outta it... So thats 4 vehicles in 3 years...

I don't even want to think about 30 years of old, clunky, cars...but, I still have dreams about that '64 T-Bird. :D

I like this plan Jonathan.

OK, I'll play. Here are all the cars I've owned over the last 28 years

72 Plymouth Satellite
69 Plymouth GTX
70 Opel
73 Chevy Nova
90 Nissan Centra
97 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
74 Ford F-150
99 Dodge Ram 2500
01 Mercedes SLK320
88 XJ
99 XJ
99 XJ
That's one car every 2.3 years.

I'll Play to:

62 VW Beetle
70 Impalla 2dr
84 Fiero Indy 4spd
68 Camaro w/ 468
86 Fiero GT
78 Cutlas (POS)
88 Ranger 4x4
66 VW Beetle
96 Probe GT
91 Honda Civic SI
01 VW Beetle 1.8T
98 XJ 4dr Black
96 XJ 4dr Green
99 XJ 4dr Blue
(In 15 Years)

All 3 XJs are in the past 12 months... Still own the 96 and 99... unfortunately I wrecked the 98.

So now the 96 is now my Wife's XJ and the new 99 (TvGuys old rig) is mine ;)

Buying built can save you lots of $$$ ;)

Personally I hate buying vehicles that aren't stock. Sure you can save a lot of money in parts/mods, but you are also trusting somebody elses half-arsed work. At least I know that if I do the work myself than it was done how I want it. To me that is worth the extra money. Of course I'm a professional mechanic so that has a lot to do with it. Not having tools or know-how the advantages of an already modified rig can definately out weigh the headache of fixing somebody elses work.

Yea dude don't leave us high and dry! MORE INFO!!!

Oh, and since we're playing:

1976 VW SuperBeetle
1978 VW Rabbit C
1983 VW Caddy (Rabbit pick-up)
1984 VW Rabbit GTI (x2)
1986 VW Scirocco 16V
1987 VW Scirocco 16V
1990 VW Golf
2001 VW GTI VR6

1993 Audi S4
2000 Audi S4

1984 Chevrolet S-10
1988 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 Scottsdale
1998 Chevrolet S-10
2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

1986 Suzuki Samurai
1987 Suzuki Samurai

1987 Jeep Comanche
1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo
1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ
1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport

So 21 cars since I was 17yrs old. Thats 1.8 cars per year, except I've spent 3 of those years either deployed or in basic training and unable to own or disown a car. So that means until I turn 27 out of the 9 yrs since I bought my first car I've only been able to go through cars for 6yrs. So I am at 3.5cars per year. After my birthday it drops down to 3 per year. Thats not including any cars that I never titled or plated except the Comanche, I haven't plated that one yet. Well, not this time. Its the second time I've owned it. And actually my 78 Rabbit was bought, sold, bought back, sold again, bought back again, and so forth a few times before eventually going the way of the grave.

Damn, Jeep is starting to catch up to VW. Time to go buy another VW. :D

I really want either a MKI Scirocco or a MKI Rabbit Diesel. I like the aircooled stuff enough, but I am an early watercooled guy. To me the best thing about the aircooled cars was they gave VW the money to make good cars, i.e. the MKI-MKII chassis cars.

Get it!

zzziiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!! He'll be here all week folks, don't forget to tip your bartenders and waitresses...

Be careful surf.....
That sounds like a jeep you might have to put your purse down to drive it on more than dirt roads :D .....

OMG! :roflmao:

:gag:
