Torque converter dead?

Well they sent me the wrong tc I called and a guy said to call in the morning to talk to the Internet sales guy. I sent them an email telling them I had a 96 Cherokee 4.0 and asked if the a500 four bolt was the right one. They said yes I ordered it and no. Did the 4.0 ever have any other trans than the aw4 because I didn't think so. Please someone reply so I have some bargaining chips and hopefully won't have to eat the shipping on this.

I am fairly certain the 4.0 has always used the AW4 (I know it did for 91-01, just not sure if others were sometimes used in the 87-90 range... but would put money on AW4 only from at least 88 and up), unless he assumed you meant Grand Cherokee instead of Cherokee. Those use a Chrysler slushbox and I have no idea what TC it uses.

I didn't even have to talk to them they sent me a new one before I could call this morning. I called and asked what to do with the wrong one and they sent a shipping label for it. I love not having to argue with people.
