Should wheel base stay the same??

I put on some Alcan leaf packs (6") this weekend, and started messing with the front end (rk 6.5" l.a.) and measured my wheel base. Looked at the factory stats which I believe is 101".
I was several inches short (haha), so started to mess with the krawler joints/jam nuts. What is the point of reference for adjusting the lower control arms??

I don't have a tech answer for you but most center the tire and don't go beyond the recommended settings on your kit. They'll usually tell you how far is too far.
