Man, sorry to drop the ball - I did get the PM asking for advice on event planning..... but the real pro has already posted up and he's got it pretty much covered! :thumbup:
About the only thing I'd like to add is that whom ever is in charge of making reservations, arranging catering and/or any other services for the event....... be sure to get the agreements in writing in person, e-mail, mail or fax! We quickly learned at this year's CO Fest how easy things get misunderstood or miscommunicated and leaves you dashing to make other plans.
Here's to wishing you guys a fantastic time at your first event!
