Must I always destroy the bearing???!!???

When I need to replace the seal on my rear axle, must I always destroy the sleeve and the bearing in order to remove the leaky seal? :gonnablow



Is there some kind of puller that at least can save the bearing?

I'd suggest maybe trying to find the root cause of why you need to replace seals often enough for this to be a problem...

I've never had a bearing outlast the seal before.

This is a given, first time I've replaced the seal. Hopefully, the last for a while. I've just never had to replace the bearing on this axle before.

Thanks, as always, an ounce of prevention is more than worth a few tons of pressing.
