1988 MJ SporTruck 4x4 - 4.0L, 5-speed pukey, NP231, D30/D35, SWB - Bought for $1000 in 2000. Went under the knife in 2007 for major repairs. Currently getting a 5.9L supercharged Magnum and a 99XJ interior swap. 106K miles.
1988 MJ Pioneer 4x4 - 4.0L, AW4, NP231, D30/D35, LWB - Grandfather bought brand new from dealership then gave it to my Uncle in 1992, who then gave it to my father in 1996, but then went back to my Uncle in 2000. He parked it in a field and said it didn't run anymore. Sat there for a bit and I got it in 2004, replaced the battery and dizzy rotor and it's been a solid worktruck ever since. 78K miles.
1992 MJ Sport 2x4 - 4.0L, AX-15, D35, SWB - Traded a '91YJ straight up for it. 15 hour round trip to get it, but it runs great and has been an extremely reliable DD for me. The YJ was probably valued around $3000, but I only had $1500 into it and really wanted the prestigious '92MJ and desperately needed a running/driving pickup in good shape. Has about 240K on the original engine and a replacement AX-15.
