Measuring for custom disconnects

I'm in the process of making custom sway bar disconnects and need to know how to figure out the correct length. According to the JKS website, an xj should be at 15 degrees. Couple of issues with that. the sway bar has a bend at the last 4 inches. Do I measure the 15 degrees from there or the main part? And if I measure the main part, the end is actually in between my springs so I would have to cut the end off and weld the bracket further up. Any help would be appreciated as i'm planning on doing this tomorrow.

Thanks.

Download the directions for the JKS XJ disconnects. There is oth a diagram and a picture of where and how to measure. JKS suggests 10 degrees.
