You will be laughing at 90% of all non buggy trail rigs...On a rig with the arms originating from the typical trans crossmember area you get driveshaft protection and on a rig that is not flat bottomed you still hang on the cross members with the arms out if the way...That 90% of trail rigs you will be laughing at

Well I can tell you that with my build a cross member link would be 35". I don't think I've ever seen a link further than the crossmember as you'd likely have to put it out on the frame like mine used to be which is dumb in so many ways.

So he might be laughing at .001% of the rigs that happened to go to the same fab shop I did.
