Good quality leaf packs will be built long enough to have a good shackle angle, cheap leaf packs will not be.

So I got caught being cheap, wouldn't be the first time.

Do I try and use these RC Springs to build a bastard pack with a longer main leaf? I can get (some of) my stock pack back (A buddy used it for leaves for his YJ/CJ stretch)

Or do I try and return these RC Springs, and pony up for some RE or Skyjacker or other set of springs?

or suck it up, craigslist the RC Springs (though I'd hate to saddle someone else with them) and build a S10/Dakota bastard pack?

Shackle relocation only helps half my issue...

My bad forgot about that part.you can always do what i did and get adjustable rear shackles and make it where you want plus help out your rear drive angle.

I'd try removing a leaf from the RC packs. If I'm correct in assuming the RC pack has a lot of arch in it, this should help it flatten out - which will help (some) with your shackle angle as well and drop a little height.
If that don't work, build yourself a bastard pack with the RCs. Why stick with the RC pack? Fresher than JY parts. Thats what I'd be thinking, anyway.

i would also recommend removing a leaf or two for a bit until it settles down. flatter leafs with a good shackle angle will ride and flex better than your set-up.

Maybe try trading the pack with someone else? Or Build a bastard pack and sell them?
