Head question

Ok, I'm gonna make this as short as possible. I have a 98 Cherokee, it is set up to run coil on plug, not distributor. Yes, yes. I know, it's not supposed to be, but it is.
So the engine is blown, I want to replace it, and the head. The head is no good.
I have an engine from a 96, that is a good strong runner.
So I've decided that I'm gonna put the 96 engine into 98 and do what needs done to make it work. I've got that part figured out. Now I just need to know what head I need to get. So far I'm looking at this one. It's a 0331 casting, which is what I need for the intake and exhaust manifolds, plus coil rail, that are in my 98. Correct?

Or this one?

Is this gonna work? If not which one do I need? Please help, I got to get a head ordered tonight or tomorrow so I can get this jeep on the road this month.
Thanks in advance.

Which exhaust manifold is in the Cherokee, a tube type, or a cast iron one ?

If you have an 0031 head, another 0331 is the simplest to install since it will match up to the exhaust manifold.

I think factory 1998 engines had the 0630 head. My 97 does.

0331 heads unless marked TUPY between the 3&4 cylinder rocker arms are prone to cracking. They do mate up to the coil rail, new style intake and 2 part exhaust manifold without modification.
