My 2000 Jeep XJ is throwing a cylinder #2 misfire. Going to change my plugs. What is everyone using for spark plugs? I have the Viper coil mod kit. Has anyone put this on their Jeep? Or should I get a new coil pack?

I run NGK ZFR5N on mine with a Screamon Demon coil and a MSD with the greatest results, tries some E3's and took them out 30 minutes later!

I just use the cheap Champions.
438's if I remember correctly.
Did the coil mod using a Mopar coil for the JK with the 3.6.
Doubt it is your coil.

The ZFR5N is the same as a 438(RC12ECC), the only issue I had was opening the gap, I could only get .050" which is ok for my application.

I just put a set of Champions in my 92 over the weekend as part of a tune-up.

What I rediscovered in doing so was that I'd been running a set of Bosch Platinum+4s for a number of years. It seemed to run fine on them, though.

For the misfire, could it be the wires then if you're using the viper coil?

It doesn't even have to be electrical, the ecu monitors the spark output so injectors and valves play into it as well.
