With the help of my lady, we got the front frame stiffeners in this weekend. She made the cardboard templates, stripped the frames rails, and we cut out 3/16" plate, drilled some holes an welded it all home.

There's a long list of stuff to get done before I can drive it again, but it's getting closer. I have burned through about 90' of 1.75" DOM, and need to pick up about 30 or 40' more to finish the rest. Then get some sheet metal to start filling in the lower half and sealing it up....

After all the cage work is complete, I still have the steering to do, hydro assist, track bar, axle gearing, yada yada yada...

I can see someone with a cage that has it just bolted in punching through the floor and making that even worse.....glad they walked a way.

that pic right there is my inspiration to get a cage done before the end of summer.

It belongs in one of those red Asphault videos they show you in drivers ed.

Anyhow, it reminds me of why I'm going through all of this, and why any future rig I build will have a cage. You never know what simple stupid move will get you in this kind of mess

no shit.

I heard he was backing up it for a photo-op and went too high... I wish there was video.
