Hey, I drive a 2000 jeep cherokee 4.0 sport with 250,000 miles. My clock spring is bad ( no horn, air bag light on). My clock spring has cruise control, the only one I could find was 525.00. I was wondering can I put on one without cruise control and be fine? Thanks everyone for all your help!

Try www.rockauto.com.

Yes, you can use a non-cruise control clockspring.

I have had good results with used clocksprings from the junkyard. The SRS airbag system is self-testing so a defective clockspring will trigger the airbag light. A TJ Wrangler clockspring will also work correctly.

I just swapped out the lady’s ‘00 non-cc clock spring last week using the $40 rockauto knockoff brand. You just wouldn’t have the 3rd pigtail coming off the non-cc clock-spring.
