I had my TB bored out to 62mm at a local engine shop and made an oversize throttle plate myself. The TB spacer cost me $50 and I had that bored to 62mm at the same engine shop.
Hey Dr., I get tunnel vision and don't even know this board is here. So you answered my high altitude thread. So obviously there is enough meat to bore the stock TB to 62mm? How do you make a plate for it? I have machinists at work and they would bore one out for a burger probably. How did you make your throtle plate?
I made mine out of 1mm thick stainless steel plate. The old butterfly was exactly 60mm in diameter and I just made a new one exactly 2mm bigger, drilling two holes in the same spot for the throttle shaft screws.
It's easier to do if you have the old butterfly to use as a template.
