Avaya phone systems

Anybody know any good sources of info for them ? I'm trying to setup remote agents using softphones on a PC, 3 days now of trying to get it to work inside the firewall, the phone system itself works fine with normal phones. Avaya is useless as are the two companies that provide so called 'support', they sent a tech out who spent 8 hours on the phone 'working' on it, never had this problem with 3Com or Cisco.

can't help you out on a source unfortunately, but I did have to deal with them 6 years ago. The IT director at a large company I used to work for purchased their system. After he, and AVAYA spent weeks trying to get it working flawlessly, I had to spend a few days on it getting all the kinks out. Pretty lame system in my opinion.
