ok just to sum it up again they are a good idea in certain applications but not really worth the time or money on a DD.

so i will just be doing the vent mod with some tests and using the termo probe i have thats for my elec tester.... i dont know hoe long it is but im sure i can work something out.

well got the holes cut in the fenders and now i need some input what say the masses here forward or reward facing vents?

Rear facing...

Forwad facing....

Rearward facing, unless you want to "scoop" in more crap to your engine compartment.

My thoughts.. never understood the whole vent craze. Vents/ fans through the hood/ shimmed hoods- unnecessary. If it ain't broke, don't fix it- if it's overheating, fix it without punching holes in stuff.

That said, it's not my Jeep so have fun.
