it may simply have been corrosion. Even if it looks clean you can have a voltage drop issue. Did it randomly fail after a big temperature swing or rain?

SO I finally got out in the garage and messed with this tonight. Did some trouble shooting with the DMM. SO apparently there is a grounded wire. I've unplugged all the junctions I can find and from the NSS back to the Last glug I could find in that circuit shows continuity to ground.....
