thats a deal! and they have the same warranty as the timken units!
i just paid twice that much for a set of timkens for my WJ swap

Can someone explain the " cast rotors " for me. These look the same as any d30 wheel bearing. I have a 2001 XJ and was looking at this as a possibility.

The cast rotors should be solid, the composite rotors will have like a vented section between the flat rotor surface.

If you're not sure, you can have the dealer run your VIN. and they'll tell you what type your Jeep came with.

Cast rotors can be vented too, and XJ cast rotors are.

The difference is in the unit bearing mounting to wheel mounting face offset - 1999.5 and later XJs use the later style bearing and rotor, 1999.0 and earlier (down to some odd year splits in the early 90s depending on 4x4 vs RWD, let me know if you want info on that) ones use a composite rotor with the friction surface cast onto a pressed steel mounting "hat". The two rotors have different hat heights, and thus require different unit bearings.

A 2001 SHOULD have the later style, but you should check before ordering just in case someone has installed older unit bearings and rotors, since they will bolt right on.

Thats what I was thinking. I was thinking the difference would be some aftermarket(like performance) rotors that may be different from stock. I will check tomorrow, I am gonna need wheel bearings soon!

Same as Timken HA597449 or SKF BR930218? Anyone used these for the WJ swap?
