Tazz, not sure if you came right with your request for the pdfs. An email is on its way to you in any case.

    KJ seat swap

Please post some pics of the KJ seats - would like to see them.

Whats the best seat you've sat in?

The price I paid would probably be irrelevant as I'm from South Africa - I paid about R3000 for a complete set front and rear (the rear is 60/40 split and takes a bit of modification to get in, it's currently work in progress!) As far as I know any WJ seat will bolt onto the XJ bracket (mine's...

Whats the best seat you've sat in?

You said you don't want Jeep seat, but I have these seats from a WJ Grand Cherokee Laredo in my XJ and they are way comfy'er than the originals. Oh, and it's a straight bolt in.

    ome rear leaf ?

Bear in mind that OME were designed in Australia where they have RHD vehicles, so you have the torque action AND the driver weight all to the same side, hence why they say the A-spring go on the driver side and the B-spring on the passenger side. I drive a RHD Jeep (see my location) and had my...

    Maxxis Bighorns

I replaced my 33" Goodyear MTRs a few days ago with 33" Bighorns and I cannot be happier! I haven't been offroad with the Bighorns yet, but on the road they are miles better than the MTRs - much quieter and they grip a wet road much better. I've always thought the MTRs are one of the best...

Owners with OTK steering please help

I have the WJ knuckles with OTK steering and run 15x8 Cragar D-windows with 4" backspacing. They clear the tierod alright, but the clearance between the WJ caliper and rim is very tight - I'd suggest go for 3.75" backspacing, but 4" backspacing will work.

    Old Man Emu add-a-leaf?

NorthwestXJ, they fitted back the the OME leafs, but they reset the shape to the original by heating and bending I presume.

    Old Man Emu add-a-leaf?

Totally agree, and what is even better - it flexes much better than a heavily arched spring. In the pic below I only have one extra leaf, but the result would be the same with the other one added as well.

    Old Man Emu add-a-leaf?

I have a printed OME catalog from July 2006 and it doesn't list an OME 939 - up to a 938 and then from 940 onwards again. It could be that my catalog is too old, or that there was a 939 that has been discontinued?

    Old Man Emu add-a-leaf?

JNickel, yes the bottom spring is the support spring the made and no's 2 and 3 from the top as well. At the moment I'm running one 7 leafs! The shorter one of the top two I've removed, but I think I'll add it back the day I fit a new rear bumper with sparewheel carrier just to assist carrying...

No, if your u-bolts are long enough you won't need anything else.

Maxxis Bighorns vs Mickey Thompson MTZ

My first choice was KM2s, but they've been on backorder for months now (check my location!). I was considering replacing the the MTRs with a new set as my spare is a brand new MTR, but they are nearly a third more expensive than the MTZs. Naturally the Bighorns are even cheaper, but with all the...

Maxxis Bighorns vs Mickey Thompson MTZ

I am in the process of getting new tires (33s). My decision is between Bighorns and M/T MTZs. From what I've read they are both good all round tires that do most things well. Are there anybody that has experience with both these tires that can tell what their preferance would be between the two...

    Disc. Brakes Help !!!!!!

A lot has been written about prop valves and that they only work under hard braking, etc. When I did my rear disk swap I had basically no improvement in braking after the disk brake swop while retaining the stock prop valve. However, when I changed it to a ZJ prop valve (only swopped over the...

    Coil springs-axle problem-coils bent

He most likely will - I had major death wobble with control arms in the stock location at 6" lift. Fitted drop brackets and it's now more stable than ever and running with way less caster than ever... Steve, don't stress too much - I'm sure by just lengthening the right hand control arms...

    Coil springs-axle problem-coils bent

Oh, and regarding the shock and the bumpstop post angles being different between left and right - if you lengthen the upper and lower control arms to move the axle forward, the angle of the shock compared to the bumpstop post will change as well, becasue the shock is mounted to the axle and will...

    Coil springs-axle problem-coils bent

Steve, if you have room for the wheels to clear anything towards to front of the vehicle when the wheels are stuffed, I'd say lenthen the arms to push the axle forward. Regarding the control arm lengths in the various tables - when I had short arms mounted in the OE locations with 6" lift I...

    TJ Rubicon axle lock switch

It worked perfectly, had to lose the functionaility of the 12V socket due to the size of the axle lock switch at the back, also had to rearrange the switches a little to get the axle lock switch to sit on the side. Here's a couple of pics. If you have the cover of an axle lock...

Steering stabalizer on WJ knuckle swap...?

My caster is around 5.5 deg, which is fine and with the HP D30, no vibrations at 6" lift. On the alignment machine they've set everything to be in the centre of the spec range, but I'm not so sure in terms of toe if one should stick to the stock settings or set it differently to cope for large...
