you can access the cps from under the hood without lowering or removing anything. it just sits on the top of the bell housing on the upper right side. you cannot see it but you can feel the bolts. they should be 6mm hex head bolts.
87's had the 4.0, if it is 2.8 its probably an 86 or older. the 2.8's leak from the intake manifold and the valve covers if the leak is coming from the top of the engine
make sure the marker bulbs on the sides of the rear lenses are working and make sure all of the third brake lamps are working and all sockets must have the correct bulb. i believe the third brake lamp bulbs are 922's. determine if it comes on when hitting the brakes or turning the lights on to...
