    XJ D44 Spooled w/4.88's

Probably less than 2000 miles on the spools and gears. Ubolt style yoke. I can post pics tomorrow, but it looks like...ummm...an axle. No leaks, no vibs, no noises coming from it, I'm just swapping in a different axle. The only thing on it that I need to mention is that I have relocated both...

I just called them up and gave them the part number. I don't have an account there, but it didn't seem to matter. Jake

HP D30 w/4:88's and Full Detroit w/JCR Steering!!

I am building a front 44 for my Jeep, and will be selling my current front axle. It is under the jeep right now, but I need to sell it to generate some cash. Trackbar mount is over the axle and I was using a 3/4" rod end. Shock mounts are raised about 2" and I eliminated the bar pin. Sway bar...

Is anybody running a Pass. Side Drop with a trackbar?

I've done quite a bit of searching and can't come up with any answers. I need to know if anyone has gone to a pass. side drop and not converted to leafs. I am wondering where you placed the axle side trackbar mount. I'm thinking I will be able to rotate it forward of my coil buckets and it...

Shackle Relocation: How far forward is too far?

This is how far forward I moved mine. I am using a bastard pack with about 3" of lift. I used a 1.5" lift rc shackle. I tried a 2" lift shackle, and it wouldn't allow the pack to flatten out enough. I tried a stock shackle, and it would actually pivot all the way back and pop backwards and stay...

    ECTED in a D44

Frank Z- This was taken directly from the link you provided. I would call that a locker. If the clutches are slipping because they are worn, that WOULD be a mechanical failure. It's not locking solid because a component is worn out. Is it capable of taking as much force as, say...a Detroit...

    Perfect Gearing for 32x11.5 ?

Well, the good news is, it can't get much worse. You can see what I have in my sig, and I get around 12-13. If it was me, I would go with the 4.56's. If you ever decide to go bigger, you'll thank yourself. Also, trailbound_xj is right...if your going to regear it, REGEAR it! Gearing to get...

Low budget build thread (pics inside)

To those wondering what 6" or so is like with short arms, that is what I have been on for about 6 months. It pretty much sucks. The ride is extremely rough, and wheeling the front end wants to push up, away from the axle, before the wheels will stuff. I can't say it has ever caused a safety...
