Ya, 3.55 gears. Never a problem with power. I changed the speedo drive gear though so the speedo is correct.

    Locker in front or rear?

What does it take to swap the clips? Different u-joints, shafts, or just swapping the clips? I haven't even looked at them if you can't tell. :) I'd like to swap out the rear axle but unfortunately I can't weld to save my life, so that kinda narrows down my choices since I'm too cheap to pay...

    Locker in front or rear?

I'm actually still running 3.55s.:gee: I could never justify putting gears in the D35.

    Locker in front or rear?

I'm gonna toss a little fuel on the fire here and bring up the Center Axle Disconnect D30. :flame: Let's suppose you were running a D30-CAD/D35-open with 33-12.50s and wanted to run a locker for some recreational rock-crawling(ie Moab) without having to spend a lot of money. A Posi-Lock has...

The RenX Files: High idle problems

I fixed my high idle problem. The 2 rearmost nuts were slightly loose on my manifold. All of a sudden, it started ticking and when I tightened them, voila, no more high idle. Stupid vacuum leak.

    long arm upgrade

Is there any odd pitching or diving when you get on the brakes hard? I think I would be a little worried about how the axle twists when stopping fast or climbing when the pass front wheel grabs. I like the idea though. I'd kinda like to try it.

    why do i need 35's, A build ?

33s have worked fine for me for years. I'm lifted 6.5" and they will stuff all the way up into the fenders without rubbing and without bumpstops. My heep gets me pretty much wherever I want to go. Plus not having 35s and lockers forces me to avoid the really bad obstacles that could cause...

". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene."

Re: ". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene." I believe Theodore Roosevelt said it the best. "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile...

". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene."

Re: ". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene." I don't hear any disputes. Just more unsubstantiated accusations.

". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene."

Re: ". . .if politicians couldn't lower gas prices, it was time to ask God to intervene." Wrong. His blame is put squarely in the correct place. Try a little reading and educate yourself on the lies we've been told for the last 50 years. http://www.rationalrevolution.net/war/index.htm
