so i just recently started to get this shimmy, nothing has changed about my jeep, aside from me replacing all of my tierod ends(rusty's steering conversion), tracbar TRE, and tightening everything up. it feels like beginning death wobble, i guess, but never quite gets bad enough to make me slow down, and goes away if i get over 50 mph. i drove through the creek behing my house to get any mud off my rims, and it didn't change anything. i went through and grease all the TRE's and ball joints.
i have ~4.5" of lift, 32" cooper stt's and ~4" backspacing on the rims, but none of this stuff is recent. this is how she's sat for the last couple years.
i'm thinkin maybe ball joint are worn out, or maybe i threw a weight off one of my front tires while wheelin.
what do you guys think?:dunno:
i've never gotten any type of shimmy in an xj without it goin full-blown death wobble, but this isn't that. it's very weird.:gee:
