Balancing Tires With Air Soft Pellets!

How is this supposed to work? What would compel the BBs to collect on the lighter side of the tire?

Centripital force if I remember correctly...but I'm only just now taking physics, so I could easily be wrong.

No Wheelingjr, i thought he just does e-crew
He used to wheel, he had a lifted white jeep, if you look threw pictures of last years runs, like the Christmas tree run and TSF runs, he's in alot of them;)
his interests have taken him in other directions, but that doesn't make his knowledge useless.

I'm running about 9oz in my 33 trXus and they have been great. Everything up to 70 mph has been just fine. Haven't gone over that speed and can't see why I would need to for a lifted shoebox.

I have run Destination MT's in my truck for the last 4 years. They balance easily with minimal weight.

Quit being cheap and just get it done right the first time.

So i think i am just gonna go have the lead weights put on the wheels but i wanna take my tires to a noob at schwabs and watch him try to figure out whats rattling inside the tire...

Having had the experience of having to drive about 180 miles from Moab to Spanish Fork with a tire that went further out of balance as I progressed, and without a single Les Schwab around to help me with re-balancing, dropping 8 ounces of BBs in at the K-Mart parking lot made a lot of sense.

I've been using Air Soft BBs in my BFGs for a few years now and it works for me. The tires can lose a bead and spin on the wheel and I don't need to find the exact same spot again. The lead weights aren't there to fall off like they always seemed to do. I can add the BBs while in my driveway if I need to change a tire, it's cheaper and allows more flexibility instead of being held at the mercy of a tire shop.

As the tires age and wear, have chunks come off from wheeling, lead weights are not always going to remain in the correct position. This is a reasonable alternative.
