new alternator, need help

i need to upgrade to 180 amp or better alternator.
found this one on e-bay, but i don't like shopping on e-bay.
anyone have any info on this particular alt. or suggestions as to where i could look for a different one?

anyone know the specs on a mean green alt.?

I've seen mixed, mostly positive reviews over at sounddomain. The owner, Dominick Iraggi, impresses me as being very knowledgable about just what it specifically takes to make a top-end alt., and where his competition falls short. I think some of the negative responses result from user/installer error, and some hard feelings from a group buy that didn't deliver or delivered late or something like that.

Based on what I've read, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one if I had the need, but my stock one has done me fine, so I can't justify the $$ and I've settled for the $35 130 amp ZJ upgrade.

The extended warranties are a bit weak and unforgiving, and has to be purchased separately (the alt comes with 30day). Be sure to do the math before buying.

Definitely would give them a call with your specific needs and price range. If nothing else to get a feel for whether you think their customer service makes you feel comfortable.
