RE TRac bar Mod Q's

i have the RE 1600 Trac bar and need to shorten it. What is the best way to weld the trac bar back together? Is RE's trac bar solid stock?

Cut it where you find is best, I cut mine on the bottom flat section, it is not solid. Cut the trackbar to length and then find a bolt or some other solid tube that fits snug to slide inside the cut end of the track bar. 2 inch's in length for the bolt or solid stock would be good. Grind the cut ends of the track bar at a 45 degree angle, slide the bolt inside one end halfway, then slide the other side over the bolt, position everything the way you want it and weld it up.

Bring it over and we'll get it done.

cut and sleeve. leave a few inches on each side and do some plug welds as well as the seam where the two pieces meet.
