This Dana 30 is ruining my Xmas, need some advice

Hey guys,

I have looked through every thread on here about dana 30 non-disco shafts in a disco housing and still have not found the correct seal #

CR 11771 is too small

my tube ID measures around 2.110"

I ordered a CR 11907 which is 2.129" OD and will try to make that work

is there anything else i can do? Can i takes seals out of my stock (non-disco) housing and make them work

i ripped the xj apart on Thursday to swap in 4.10 axles and install an RE 4.5 kit and this is holding me up

any advice is much appreciated

Well the recommended mod is to use a factory ND seal and dremel the housing to fit.

Why not install the 4.10 gears in to the non-disco housing?
Its not that dificult.

It is if you've never set up gears before and don't have the necessary tools.

Your non-disco seal will not work with the 1pc shaft. The 1pc axle is not designed to have a seal there, the shaft is rough, and it will ruin the seal in short order.

The dremel is the recommended method.
