There is no such thing as an easy fit putting axles in from another vehicle (unless we're talking a front from another tj or zj)

those are full width IIRC so you would need to cut them down and make custom shafts, or just run full width

No, you can't cut that front HP44 down. It is a '78, so it has the full cast radius wedges, which means that there is no axle tubing inside of the cast part. Therefore, you can't narrow it unless you want to run some really narrow front axle.
