Is there a limit for tire size based on bolt pattern/# of lugs?

*****Regardless of axle type*******

I am just wondering from the standpoint of bolt patterns alone.

I would like to think that the more wheel studs that are on a vehicle, the more load it could support. Much like a tractor trailer, the more tires, the more weight it can handle.

lug size and spacing is going to make a huge difference as well. hypothetically , you could put 50 small studs around an axle but so many small holes is going to weaken the wheel. i don't really know what works and what doesn't, just my .02

No, some that run D60's opt for the 5x5.5" or whatever lug pattern.

Ok that works.

I have found a set of 5 on 5.5 C&C sized hubs for my 14 bolt and wondered if it would matter later on when I went to 38" or more tires.
