oil pan install trick?

I cant get my oil pan back on my 4.0, my front axle is in the way, i tried jacking the front end up untill the suspension was just hanging, but i still need like 1/2inch more clearance, whats the trick?

Disconnect the trabbar and shocks and let it drop some more would probably get you the extra clearance. If you took it off, you should be able to put it back in the same way also.

If you got it off, why cant you get it back on?

Disco swaybar, trackbar, and shocks, SAFELY put a botle jack b/w axle and "frame".. jack up... you should be good to go

i "convinced" it out with alittle prying and swearing, i wasnt sure if i had/supposed to drop the axle or not, thanks
