1985 XJ Cylinder Head Ground Removal

I am having one heck of a time gettign a wrench on this to remove the bolt on the head.. Do you guys go at if from the top or bottom and what style wrench do you use?

V6 or I4?
 
I went from the top and moved the wire when I was done. Im at work today and I brought my 85 so ill try to take some pics of what im talking about at lunch for ya
 
why are you removing it?

if you're removing it to replace it or to pull the motor, either unbolt it at the firewall or cut it off.

i had a 2.8 v6 in my manche and when i opted for the 3.8 camaro engine i simply unbolted the ground...
