Does anyone have their front and rear fender flares trimmed similar to the S.J. xj?

Search 53Guy. He did a great write up. If that is what I understand your question is.

I tried it, mine is a 97 and had different "soft" fenders.. it didnt work out very well. the retainers for the front fenders just didnt like the removal and reatatchment and wouldnt ever stay on again very well..

I also have about 4" of lift and with 32's i was rubbin to much.. no bumpstops in the front... i have since gotten Pricewackers... i paid about 200$ forem and i think that is fair.. i plan to remove them for trail runs....

I also tried it that way for awhile and found that my 33's still hit when flexed.

Im guessing you ended up taking them off? How did you like them?

They served their purpose. It is all about bumpstopping.

Just cut off the bottom lip, trim metal, and raise them up a bit.

I now have TJ flares.
