A/C clutch bearing replacement?

I bought part #1961 clutch bearings to fix my a/c unit. But after I pulled the pulley off I couldn't figure out how this part would fit... My old bearings fell right out when I took the pulley off, leaving a two grooved ring inside the pulley (which I'm not sure is removable or not). But, even if I could remove that ring there's no way the new bearing assembly would fit in its place. It's too big. I don't know much about bearings or there sizes. I have the Sanden SD service manual, the only thing it says about the bearings is to replace the rotor/pulley assembly if they go bad (I have had noo luck find a new or used pulley assembly). Here are a couple of links to pictures of what I'm talking about.
