Ok I have a few things to fix but I think I'll start with the window washer problem. I bought a 89 XJ except for a few small farts it's in pretty good shape. I think the previous owner has been messing with the window washer parts. Here is what I am up against. I believe he changed the tubing hook-up and maybe the pump motor wiring. The mister does not work. Let me list what I have found.
1) Front wiper motor and wipers work
3) Intermittent works
4) Mister does not work
5) Rear Wiper and motor works
6) Rear washer does not work
7) Both fluid pumps work
I believe he has changed the tubing connetions because when I filp the toggle switch on the console front washer comes on. I believe thats for the rear washer. I think it must be the combination wiper/turn/signal lever thats bad. Is there a diagram on how the tubing and electical connections should be? How does one change the control lever and where can i find one? More farts to come.
