2001 xj and cruise control not working

Helpppppp. I checked fuses in the power distribution center and in fuse box and all is good. Also my passenger side window doesnt like to operate all the time when operated from the drivers side control. Any help is greatly appreciated.

does the criuse light illuminate when the switch is pressed? does the window work from the passenger switch? need specific info to diagnose better without seeing the car in person.

Hello, no the light does not come on for the cruise and yes the passenger side window does operate good from the passenger side switch. So it must be in the switch huh on the drivers?

probably have a bad cruise switch. the pcm needs on/off input before it can eanble the system and turn the light on.

Check to make sure that the brake pedal switch is being made properly. This will cause the cruise to not engage.

even if the brake light switch is out of adjustment, the indicator light will illuminate.

where could i find a cruise switch from? How much approx would you think?

i would imagine that it is a dealer item. im not sure about the price, but i would suspect under $30.
