:dunno: Dash gauge is reading 9vlt Volt meter connected to the battery reads 11.75 running, goes down to 11.44 throttleing, 11.42 with everything running (50x4head, lights, heater, etc) turn all that off it goes back to 11.75. With vehicle off it reads 12.22
Starts right up, dosnt feel weak. PB Blasteds the ****e out of the alt and letting it run for a while. Read somewhere that might help.:dunno:

probably dead, or dieing- but last check: follow the wire from the alternator to the main ignition box- right behind the battery, and retest the voltage off that wire- or directly off the alternators stud....make sure the box isnt bad first.....deny the dash guage any accuracy, its downstream of everything else an dosent show the true voltage anyway--ie: your guage will read low with everything on, but the true voltage from the alternator will still read higher.....

reading should be in the neighborhood of 13.9-- anything under 12 is completely unacceptable, 12.5 is marginal-- toss it for a new one.
