You don't have to pull the pinion shaft, just the yoke off of it. Matchmark the pinion nut to the yoke, then to the housing and remove it (air tools are your friend here...) Pull the yoke off the shaft and pull the seal. Before you install the new seal, lube the seal lip some so it doesn't tear. Press/tap the new seal in, line up your index marks, and replace the yoke. Tighten down the pinion nut until the index marks line up, and replace the driveshaft.
