95 grand chero shocks on a 97 chero?

thinking on doing a budget boost for my cherokee till I save up enough for a more appropriate lift but the shocks are whats keeping me from doing it since new are expensive and mine are stock and are kinda leaky. well there is a chance I can get a set of pretty new shocks from a 95 grand cherokee for cheap and wonder how much more travel do they have or would they fit a 2" budget boost? they are 23" and 24" tall. any insight would help

Look for a set from a JK Rubicon or X model. They would be appropriate. I got mine from the local 4x4 shop after they finished a lift install. Cost me $20. I find sets on eBay also.
