Going topless

I am thinking about cutting the top off and replacing it with a 8-10 point roll cage. Am I stupid? If I were to do this I would reinforce the subframe with C- channel from the front to the back and then tie the cage into it. With this set up would I still loose alot of structual integrety? Or would it be better to just put in a internal cage?

There are a few current threads discussing what's needed to chop your top. Bracing is going to be paramount though...do a search for more info
