Front Driveshaft

My 96 xj front driveshaft is the double cardigan type. Anybody know what size bolts are used on the TC end of the driveshaft? For some reason the previous owner had it removed when I got it and the bolts are missing. Thanks

Get a flanged bolt, .312 (5/16) -24x1.170, Drive Shaft to Front Transfer Case Yoke

They are oddball bolts, but you need them in order to get a wrench on. The dealer has them for like $1 each I just bought a whole bunch of new ones

sounds like its cold where your from ... (just kidding)

I managed to loose one of those before so I got a few spares from the junkyard..

I got a few of them. I replaced them with grade 8 bolts with the larger heads.

I forget what size they were. Bring your drive shaft to the hardware store and check it out. It was a SAE thread.
