Dome lights

Hey guys im new here but i got a problem. My 99 sport has keyless entry and delay headlight. My problem is that my dome light wont shut off. ive pulled out door switches and i just put in a new headlight switch but nothing but pulling a fuse under the hood will shut them off? Anybody got any hints or Ideas?

Not trying to be a smart ass, but does it turn off when you rotate the headlight switch clockwise?

This may not sound related, but does it happen to have a remote start? My wife's Explorer did the exact same thing and it was something to do with the ground on the remote start. Dome lights stayed on all the time. Even with the truck off and the key out.

No remote start but i was wondering if the board for the keyless entry could be faulty causing them to stay on cause the problem is intermediate and usually occurs after you unlock the doors with the remote?
