Jet Band Saw question

Hey-

We have a Jet Horizontal/Vertical Band Saw. We've used it for about 9- 10 years and it's always given good service. But recently it's been not cutting straight. When you put a piece of flat stock (on edge) in the vise the blade as it's going down thru the cut works it's way to the left. Basically making the cut worthless unless you want to spend time cleaning it up with a grinder. Which totally defeats the purpose of having a band saw in the first place!

Any thoughts or ideas?

Check the runout of the drive and idle wheels. If there is a bearing going out, the runout will increase which will allow the wheel to rotate out of true. This will cause the blade to run at an angle which pulls the cut.
