I was looking at TnT's front bumper, which I love, and wondered if what they said about upgrading to the YJ steering box is beneficial? I think it has 1 more bolt than our XJ's, but stronger? Worth it?
"4-Bolt Saginaw Steering Box Upgrade
XJ's & MJ's come with a 2.4:1 variable ratio steering box. Though nice on the street, this can make steering difficult when offroad. Replacing your stock steering box with a 3.2:1 fixed ratio 4-bolt steering box (from a YJ) will increase your control offroad and improve steering those oversized tires on the street. Aside from the steering performance improvement, you'll benefit from adding a forth mounting bolt between your steering box and uni-body. We have personally broken the stock 3-bolt variable ratio steering box and where left stranded. Don't let this be you, upgrade your steering when you order your bumper. "
