if you are going to put one locker in, put it in the front of the xj ( feasible only with a disconnect front tho)

what is meant by disconnect vs. non-disconnect axles?

an axle that has some method of seperating(disconnecting)the wheels from each other, so that with a locker, you will have some ability for the wheels to travel different speeds, which is necessary when turning to avoid dragging a tire. example the automatic vacuum disconnect in some jeeps, and the manual hub locks in ford trucks etc
