I have one that is leaking from the tail shaft, for free! I reckon installing an SYE would fix the problem... It is high mileage though, came out of my '99 jeep at 225k

is it a 23 spline short input? If so I want it. I was already planning to do an SYE and a rebuild kit with new chain. sounds like a good builder

Came out of a manual, replaced it with a used 242 from an auto cherokee, I assume it will work with yours...

If it came out of a 99' cherokee with an AX15, then it should be a 23 spline input.
