When you break a D35 what actually breaks?

I wasn't talking about yours, some YJ. That is a ton of wire in there, how many spools did you use? I broke a 44 shaft without too much skinny pedal, and I'm on 33's.

Oh probably less than 20 welding rods. I have and did my own (lincoln) welding. So the only cost was gear oil. To me a 35 is not worth the price of a locker. It's not a "C" clip. I would love to fine a 44, but it's looking more like I'll end up with a 8.25 in which I would not weld. I had a real detroit in a CJ I had a few years back and that's what I plan to go with when the day arrives.

i dunno why i didn't think of this earlier, but the guy i bought my 31s from had his tj on 35s, locked fr d30 and factory d35 r... i was shocked that he hadn't snapped anything yet
