What do you mean? If you have an alternator on the truck take it to autozone to have it tested? If it's new, just ask for it at the parts store and have them test it before you leave. If it's a JY, it's a craps shoot. I'm not sure of any way to visually tell.
For ZJ's, Durango's, and Ram's, 5602 7912 is 120 amp and 5602 7913 is 136 amp.
Not sure what the numbers are for XJ's but why settle for 120 amp if you can have 136? Although I have never seen a 136 at the boneyard, I have seen a few 120's and I may have to settle since even that is better than the 90 amp bushwa.
Right, XJ's never came with 136 amp. But the 136 amp from ZJ/Ram/Durango (and that Dodge van and possibly Dakota too) drop in with small modification to either the alternator or the bracket itself.
